Just don't put anything into storage devices because every time I've done that recently all photographs went black due to that bug again, the same bug I was getting three years ago that EA still hasn't fixed. Photographic memory is a pretty great mod too as you can fix photographs that have "fail" filters set on them from low photograph skill (thumbprints and such). You can do this with other images in place of the old non-CC custom artwork trick, as far as I know, but I haven't uploaded anything to the gallery, just saved things to my private library for use later. I was playing around with this a few weeks ago when I figured out there was no way for the game to put a screenshot in as a photograph even with a mod, which seems like a huge oversight on EA's part but not shocking either given, y'know, EA, even though in-game photographs are ALSO saved as screenshots to the screenshot folder. Place your photographs on a lot and save them in case you ever need to load a backup photograph with your in-game photographs (always a good idea if you have photographer sims)
The new photograph will have the screenshot image on it, but it will also be subject to the black photo bug which recently popped up AGAIN especially if placing photos in non-sim inventories so be warned about that. Use the resize cheat to make it really big (the key strokes are to change sizes)įiddle around until you have the CC centered in the photograph frame, then take a photograph of that

I was looking for a way to do this so artwork and such could once again be uploaded to the gallery without being CC.Ĭreate a new CC item using Sims 4 Studio using PBJ's photograph base photos (inside the functional photoframes mod u/simkittycat posted) Unfortunately there is no way of getting a screenshot into the game as a photograph without creating CC that I know of.
